Q. How does the JETERA system work? A.
JETERA is fundamentally a unique 'matchmaker' between marketers
and consumers. By capturing a travelers' reservation data, and
matching it with their publicly available demographic
information, JETERA enables businesses to deliver offers and
advertising specifically tailored to each individuals' wants and
interests. Essentially, the system uses the consumer's future
intent to enrich his or her travel experience through multiple
touch points before, during and after their trip.
Q. Where does that information come
from? A. The reservation information comes from any
one of the multiple travel e-commerce sites, hotel and airline
reservation systems. Then by partnering with some of the largest
publicly available consumer data companies in the world we
enrich that reservation data. The result is that we can then
ultimately offer, for the first time, marketers and brands an
unmatched level of relevancy, timeliness and action-ability.
Q: What is 1 to 1 marketing exactly?
How will it benefit me? A: 1 to 1 marketing is a
business to consumer concept. The idea behind it is simple,
aligning the most appropriate and relevant marketing messages
and advertising to the individual most likely to buy or be
interested in it. The benefit to you, the consumer, is this:
fewer ads and messages that are of no interest to you and
greater ads and messages that are personalized and specifically
tailored to you. In essence, the production of ads are for
designed just for you.
Q. Will I be inundated with coupons and
promotions in the mail once you have my information? A.
No. The JETERA system is the 'anti-spam' of direct marketing, as
one of our potential airline partners so aptly put it. We have
business rules that will limit the market's ability to deliver a
set number of relevant and personalized offerings per year, and
that content will be personalized, timely and specifically
tailored to you and the trip you are about to take.
Q. When will personalized content be
available to me on an aircraft? A. Bringing this
revolution to the aircraft cabin is a bit farther down the road.
In the first couple years of business, your personalized content
will arrive via direct mail, email, web-based, on your mobile
device and at airport and travel kiosks. However, in the
not-so-distant future, we plan to unleash the market's ability
to have this same personalized and relevant content streamed to
seatback screens and handheld devices on the aircraft.
Q. Will my personal information be
secure in your system? A. Our travel partners will
always maintain strict control of your reservation data. Our
agreement is simply to match that data with third party
demographic data, and allow businesses and marketers the
opportunity to connect with their potential consumers on a 1 to
1 basis. JETERA will use this information in a revolutionary way
to serve travelers for the things they want. The consumers are
ultimately in control. Essentially, nothing changes. JETERA will
ultimately function as an invisible matchmaker behind its
travel-industry partners.
Q. Is it easy to opt out of this system
if I do not want to participate? A. Yes. Passengers
will be in complete control and have multiple opportunities to
opt out should they choose to do so.
